Coding Marathon (BDRO)

Algorithmic programming and competitive problem solving in the SJIS Computer Lab across junior and senior tiers (Scratch for A/B, Python/C++ for C/D).

Rules & Guidelines

Overview

BDRO Coding Marathon tests algorithmic logic, computational efficiency, and clean code implementation.

Segment Tier Breakdown

  • Group A (Grade 3–4): Block-based Scratch challenges focusing on visual programming fundamentals.
  • Group B (Grade 5–6): Intermediate Scratch algorithmic problem solving and logic puzzles.
  • Group C (Grade 7–8): Python algorithmic challenges with automated test cases.
  • Group D (Grade 9–12 / A2): Python and C++ competitive programming contests.

Lab Regulations

  • Contest conducted in the SJIS Computer Lab.
  • External code generation assistants (ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor) are strictly blocked and banned.
  • Standard language libraries are fully permitted.
