Rules & Guidelines
Overview
ICT Olympiad — Technology Quiz Competition. This is an individual competition testing computer science, digital systems, cybersecurity, software, and tech innovations.
General Rules
- •Individual competition across Groups A to D.
- •Participants must report before the scheduled reporting time.
- •Mobile phones, smartwatches, and all electronic devices are strictly prohibited.
- •No communication between participants during any round. Any cheating results in immediate disqualification.
Competition Format (3 Rounds)
📝 Round 1 — Written Round
- •Participants are given 10 comprehensive analytical questions.
- •Time limit: 30 minutes.
- •Total Marks: 20 (1 mark for correct answer + 1 mark for correct and relevant technical explanation).
- •Answers must be submitted within the allotted time.
🔔 Round 2 — Buzzer Round
- •Conducted with 20 rapid-fire questions using the buzzer system.
- •Only the top 4 highest-scoring participants from Round 2 qualify for the grand finals.
⚡ Round 3 — Final Buzzer Round
- •Live stage buzzer showdown between the 4 finalists.
- •Negative marking applies in this round for incorrect buzzer attempts.
- •The top 2 scorers at the end of Round 3 will be declared the Champions and receive official awards.
🏆 Tie-Breaker
In case of a tie affecting qualification or podium places, a rapid-fire question round will be conducted. Judges' decisions are final and binding.
